Ronson was the most prolific combination pencil-and-lighter manufacturers.

The first example on the left is stamped around the top "Ronson Penciliter Pat 92,996 Canada Pat 288,148 Br. Pat 291,695 US Pat RE No. 19,023 Art Metal Works, Inc. Newark, NJ USA."  Whew!

The second is marked on the clip "Lite-O-Rite," above which is stamped "U.S. Pat. 1,342,838 Other Pats Pdg. Ronson AMW Newark NJ. USA.  The patent was issued to Louis V. Aronson on June 8, 1920.  View here.  At least one of the other "pats pending" was number 1,975,531, which was also issued to Aronson on October 2, 1934.  View here.

Later, Ronson standardized the "Penciliter" as shown in by the remaining three examples, in Rhodium plate, Gold fill and, later still, in various painted enameled colors.
